Recommended Summer Camps
One of the most common questions I get asked from parents is what summer camps and clinics should they send their son/daughter to. I used to send a template email I laying out all the opportunities in the area that have a solid reputation for delivering skill instruction, fun, and reliability. Now, I've compiled them in a much easier and accessible format:

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH CAMPS
First and foremost, I always recommend young players attend their home high school youth camp. The camps are not just a chance to get better, but it's also an opportunity to get to know your school's varsity staff, interact with the current varsity players, and learn the program's culture, community, and emphasized skills. It's almost never worth it to go to an independent camp or AAU event instead of your high school's own youth camp.

To maximize development and encourage creativity, our camp emphasizes LIVE COMPETITION: contests, small-sided games, 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5. Our staff includes some of the top coaches and high school players in the area. This combination of teaching and mentorship will make our camp the highlight of your son’s hoops summer.

SUMMER PERFORMANCE CAMP
I've yet to hear anyone come away from a 24:Up event with a bad experience. The Pat Connaughton affiliated club offers a wide range of skill and camp opportunities. 24:Up delivers elite teaching with a family atmosphere, a unique environment to find these days. At every camp or clinic you'll find 24:UP alumni working as either coaches or counselors to help mentor the next generation. The performance academy includes skills as well as strength and agility work.
